Local Church Helps Bigger Vision of Athens Equip Facility with New Appliances

Bigger Vision of Athens, an organization that cares for the homeless, recently was able to furnish its facility on North Avenue with new appliances due to contribution from a local church.

The donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, provided money for new appliances including dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and washer and dryer.

Bigger Vision has operated in Athens for 25 years and provides services for up to 35 people each night with shelter and meals.

“The new appliances have completely changed our routines. For example, we can now do a load of dishes in 30 minutes. In addition, the new washer and dryer have doubled our capacity to do laundry. As a result, we have more time to devote to our guests to help them in their efforts to stay safe and get back out on their own again,” Bigger Vision Executive Director Ryan Hersh said.
